April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4th in 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm to write songs. At the age of 12 when she wrote her first single called Different. The singer spent much of her time when she was 14 composing songs and experimenting with the piano. In the following months, April started taking trips to NY and LA along with her dad in order for them both write songs. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in Take My Hand for those of her peers who struggled with disabilities, peer pressure or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart has her own fan base and works as a lifestyle blogger at the popular Ilia Clean Beauty brand. The truth is that she was born without a left hand and that creates her unique. But this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability on her Instagram account, but she isn't making it the focal point of it. The message? This is the message That we all carry multiple identities and are far more complicated than we believe that we're. Lockhart speaks via video in Nashville. "I don't want it to define my life. I don't want to be merely recognized as an expert in disabilities. The fact that she is a disability influencer doesn't impact my daily life. It's all normal, and I've learned how to make adjustments. It's an integral element of my life and it's imperative to discuss it. Lockhart is a great example of how to stay striving to be self-accepting. Still she admits she's gone through periods of being uncomfortable with her body and sometimes not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing showing the arms of her. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she'd like. and she shares pictures on social networks. The self-love she talks about is a journey. It's hard to say when you'll reach the end. It's a fact that I see with everyone with whatever they are struggling with. It's essential to have those around you who are aware of and understand the way you feel. They will be the ones who ask what you fret about?
