Amanda Seales (formerly Amanda Diva) was born in Los Angeles on July 1 in 1981. She is a comic DJ, a creator of content, etc. Moving to Orlando at age 8 and attending Dr. Phillips High School and then went to SUNY Purchase for undergrad then receiving her master's in African American studies with a specialization in hip-hop from Columbia University. The beginning of her career was in 1994, on the Nickelodeon program My Brother and Me, on which she was Deonne. In the following years, Amanda Diva became widely known as one of the MTV2 Sucker Free Sundays hip-hop VJ. She was also well-known by people in general. Though spending some time as an recording artist as well as a spoken word poet, in 2011, she changed her name to Amanda Diva back to Amanda Seales, also returning to television and soon after she added stand-up comedy to her credits.
